Yummy Drumstick Fry.

Yummy Drumstick Fry is an authentic Odia Recipe i.e. prepared in every Odia houses in summer.My grand mom prepares it very delicately for my grand pa.We also enjoy it fully.I learnt to make at the age of 20.I love to make it as my father loves to eat it when it is made by me.So guys try it and have it with your families.
Preparation time: 20 mins
Cooking time :17 mins
Serves : 2
Ingredients:
Drumsticks : 3-4
Haldi powder :1 teaspoon
Curry powder : 1 teaspoon
Red chili powder : 1 teaspoon
Refined Oil : 1 tablespoon
Water : 1 small cup
salt to taste
Mustard seeds : 1/2 teaspoon

Steps to Prepare
1.Peel the drumstick and cut it into small pieces.

2.Boil it with 1 small cup water , haldi powder and salt till it get tender.


3. Take a non-stick pan , heat oil, add mustard seeds . 

4.Add boiled drumsticks and curry powder and chili powder and fry it in high heat for 5 mins.




5.Serve hot with rice and dal.




Simple Cottage Cheese Curry with Potatoes.

It is already mentioned in my other posts that Paneer(Indian Cottage Cheese)is an integral of Indian cooking. In every occasion the main dish must contain paneer and too much of spices and herbs. Every occasion is having the same menu like Shahi Paneer, Mutter Paneer , Paneer Tikka .Eating too much of these are not at all healthy so we can cook it in home in a simple way just adding small amount of spices which will help the main ingredient ,not to lose their original properties and nutritional contents.
Serves-4
Preparation Time- 30 mins approx
Cooking time-20 mins approx

Ingredients:
Indian Cottage Cheese(Paneer)-50 grams-cut into small cubes
2 potatoes boiled and cut into small pieces
3-4 tomatoes chopped
1 big onion-chopped
3-4 green chili chopped
ginger garlic paste- 2 teaspoon
2 tablespoon refined oil
1 teaspoon turmeric(haldi) powder
1 teaspoon red chili powder
2 teaspoon Indian Curry Powder
Salt to taste



Preparation:
Heat oil in a pan.fry onions and green chili.


Fry onions till golden brown.Add Spices and fry for 4-5 minutes.


Add chopped tomatoes and fry till it get tender.


Add Boiled potatoes.


Add paneer and fry for more 3-4 minutes.


Mix properly and the dish is ready.

Tawa Paneer Masala.

Tawa Paneer Masala is generally made in Punjab.It is basically a winter recipe but it can be made in all season.First i tasted it in one of my friend's place in Gurgaon.It is mouth watering as well as tastiest cottage cheese recipe .It is made with lots of capsicum so it is very healthy.For the love of food made me try try this in my kitchen.Why not all try this .

Ingredients:
Indian Cottage Cheese-Paneer - 250 grams
Capsicum-2 big
Tomatoes-2 to 3
fennel seeds-1 tablespoon
onion-2 big sliced
Cumin Seeds-2 teaspoon
Fenugreek seeds- 1/2 teaspoon
carom -1/2 teaspoon
Coriander seeds- 2 teaspoon
Raw red chili-2 to 3
Curd-50 grams
Salt to taste
Red color
Preparation Time-1 and half hour
Cooking Time-20 to 30 mins
Serves-4


Preparation Method:
Roast sliced onions and the raw spices.Make a paste of raw spices(fennel seeds,Cumin Seeds,Fenugreek seeds,carom (ajwain)Coriander seeds,Raw red chili) with onions.
Add curd ans salt to the paste.
Cut the Paneer into small cubes,marinate the paneer with the paste for 1 hour.


Cut the tomatoes and capsicum into small cubes and marinate it with the paste for one hour.


Roast it .


Heat oil in a pan.Add the paneer slices and vegetables.Add the extra paste .Fry for 5 minutes and serve hot with Indian Breads or naans.

Crispy Fried Parwal.

Crispy Fried Parwal is one type of snacks i.e. accompanied by rice and dal in summer season as parwal is available in summer.My mom used to make it daily in summer as it is the only  green vegetable produced in our garden.I can't make it like my mom but i can give it a try to show and also can teach you to make a healthy snack in summer.
Preparation time:20 mins
Cooking time:10 mins
Serves: 4 
Ingredients:
Parwal - 8-10
Haldi powder - 1 teaspoon
Red chili powder - 2 teaspoon
Curry powder - 2 teaspoon
Refined oil - 2 tablespoon
Salt to taste
Steps to Prepare
1.Peel Parwal and cut into two halves.


2.Marinate the parwal with haldi powder , red chili powder , curry powder ,salt and leave it for 10 minutes.




3.Take a flat pan, add refined oil and fry the marinated parwal till it gets crispy.


Serve hot with Rice and dal.
