Kala Chana Kofta Curry / Black Chick Pea balls Gravy.

Kofta is a delicious savory dish which belongs to Mughlai Origin.As Chicken is made for Non-Vegetarians ,Vegetable kofta is made for Vegetarians.Black Chick pea Kofta is cooked in curd and gram flour .It is one of the best vegetarian recipe to encourage your children to more Vegetarian healthy Food.The Veggie people will love to have this dish included in their diet.
                               The koftas are prepared with black chick peas which is full of protein and the gravy is made with curd and gram flour.It is an Innovative Recipe made with black chick peas only for the balls that are fried and cooked in an aromatic Spicy and Healthy Gravy.

Ingredients for Kofta:
Black Chick pea-100gms
1 onion
4 green chili
5 cloves of garlic
1 small piece ginger
Corn flour- 2 tablespoon
curry powder-2 teaspoon
Salt to tatse
How to Prepare Kofta?
Take the boiled chana ,chopped onion,garlic,ginger and green chili and grind it to a smooth paste.

Add curry powder,gram flour and corn flour.

Make a smooth paste.

Heat oil in a pan for deep frying.Make small balls of the paste and deep fry it.

The koftas are ready before you.

Ingredients for kofta curry
Curd- 50gms
2 tablespoon refined oil
Gram flour / Besan-2 tablespoon
Curry powder- 2 tablespoon
red chili powder- 2 teaspoon
Chopped garlic-1 teaspoon
Chopped Ginger - 1 teaspoon
Onions Sliced- 4 big
Bay leaf(tej patta)- 4
Small cardamom(elachi)-4-5 
Water 1 big cup
Salt to taste

Steps to Prepare Kofta Curry

1.Heat oil in a pan ,Add bay leaf(tej patta) and elachi .Add sliced onions.Fry till golden brown.

2.Add chopped ginger and garlic,fry for 2 mins.Add red chili paste and curry powder.
add salt to taste and fry for 4 mins in low flame.

3.Make a paste by curd and gram flour(besan) and add it to the masala.fry for 1 min ,add water and make it boil.

4.Add the fried Koftas and fry it till the koftas get softened.

5.Ready to eat Kofta Curry is prepared.

  1. @Anonymous Sorry i forgot to add the gram flour quantity ,,you can add 1 tablespoon in this recipe.
